PruFund Planet – investing for positive outcomes

Broadly targeting six different environmental and social areas, PruFund Planet has at its heart the aim to create positive ESG outcomes for investors, as well as competitive long-term returns.

These ESG outcomes range from protecting to improving the planet, covering areas such as clean technology and renewable energy to social enterprise.

It’s a strategy which not only integrates responsible investing, but also invests in ESG opportunities, looking to address societal and environmental challenges, often for under-served or disadvantaged groups. All this is undertaken with the joint aim of generating competitive financial returns for the longer-term investor.

Investments are assessed against three types of outcome: ESG risk focused, Opportunity focused, and Solution focused.

Each of the funds has three categories of outcome:

Mitigating Environmental, Social and Governance risks and minimising negative outcomes.
Pursuing Environmental, Social and Governance opportunities.
Investing in positive outcomes for disadvantaged groups or stakeholders.
